The journey to the temple of Tungnath, one of the पंच केदार (Panch Kedar), involved an overnight stopover at Deoria Tal, a lake on one of the mountaintops in the range, followed by a day-long trek through an old and now-disused foot trail through the heavily wooded forests of Chopta. After a night's stay at a village in valleys, we trekked onwards to the temple on the peak.
The photographs are petty attempts to capture ineffably glorious Himalayas.
